Shoot 1 - Straight Images
Below are my top three images from Shoot 1 'A Typical Boy's Day'. These, in my opinion are the photographs that had the best outcome and correctly portrayed what I wanted to. Each of the three pictures has been edited slightly in photoshop to even out the contrast and colour corrections.
I chose this as one of my top three images because I like the focus and the detail of it. Where I took this photo in close proximity to the weight I managed to pick up the small details on the front of it, for example the writing. I think that the shallow depth of field of this photo adds to the striking effect that draws your eyes gradually into the image.
This was another one of my top three images from Shoot 1. This photo shows Jordan playing a computer game, a very typical boy activity. I like the composition of this photograph because him and the computer scheme are the very centre of the image. Either side of Jordan is mainly white, blank space which makes the subject stand out even more.
Lastly, there is this image taken of Jordan playing basketball in the garden. Again something associated with boys which is part of his everyday life. In this photo I tried to get the full action of what he is doing but took it from a slight angle (not directly behind him) so that the image would also include the basketball post, giving this image a wide depth of field.
